APBH's paramount value is to provide high quality ABA services to the clients and families it serves. To help ensure we fulfill this value, APBH has a two-tier structure that is comprised of Clinical Supervisors and Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians. This two-tier structure emphasizes an exceptionally supportive approach to treatment to provide the best outcomes for clients and their families.
CLINICAL SUPERVISORS
Clinical Supervisors conduct functional behavior assessments, design and modify treatments, and train Behavior Technicians, Registered Behavior Technicians, and parents. They are Board Certified Behavior Analysts and have obtained a masters degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, or other related field.
BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS / REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS
Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians are carefully selected and undergo an extensive training process. They provide one-on-one services for clients, directly implementing treatment plans under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisor.
Registered Behavior Technicians, or RBTs, are paraprofessionals certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, or BACB. In addition to the requirements of a Behavior Technician, an RBT must pass the RBT Competency Assessment and pass the BACB's RBT examination. To maintain RBT certification, they must receive ongoing supervision, annually pass the RBT Competency Assessment, and comply with the BACB's RBT Ethics Code.
